HYDRATION: Signs, benefits and importance of drinking water

It is important to drink water. Getting yourself hydrated is good, because our body depends on water to survive. Every cell, organ and tissue in your body need water to function effectively and if you lack them it can cause serious effect, even death.

First, let's talk about water, water is a transparent, inorganic, tasteless, odourless and nearly colourless chemical substance found over the earth. It's the most common substances, it has a boiling point of 100°C, density 997Kg/m³ and a formula of H2O

You need to drink water everyday. Atleast 6-8 glasses of water, it helps you stay hydrated, especially plain water, Other drinks and food can help too. Fruits, soda, milk, vegetables, juice, herbal tea, coffee (maximum of 400millgrams a day) add to the amount of water you get each day.

You might be asking yourself,"How do I Know if my system is dehydrated?" Here are signs and symptoms of dehydration(Lack of water in your body).

Human body need water, you and I need water to survive, for our body to function well it need water, for our cell, tissue, organs to function well, it need water. An adult body is made up of 60 percent of water, our age, weight and gender determine the amount of water you and I need to drink during the day. Athletes may need water more because the loose more fluids during physical activities, after workout, water help to replenish any lost fluids in your muscle cells, preventing muscle soreness.

Our brain is compose of 75-85% of water, so it's obvious why we need adequate Hydration to improve focus and clarity. For a student , drinking water help improve students thinking and help to stay calm and loose their anxiety.

For those who don't like drinking plain water try adding lime or mint to your water or friuts like watermelon, Oranges and cucumber. Try spicing it up to stay hydrated .
